Men’s Group

Dan Reed PhD group of you men

“Who you are isn’t a problem, but how you’re relating with yourself, others, and the world may be creating problems for you.”

This Group is for us Men who want to:

  • Impact others more meaningfully,

  • Connect,

  • Share authentically,

  • Maintain our integrity,

  • Enjoy ourselves deeply,

  • Have company being the man we are,

  • Love and live more fully.

Description:

This group will be a place for us men to gather and grow our relational and emotional skill. We’ll learn through taking workable risks. We’ll get curious about both what’s actually going on with ourselves and each other and sharing some of what’s alive from that place. This will be a space for us to learn and test out what we can trust by connecting and relating in real time.

We will all (re)discover that we are not alone and sense what it can be like as men to (re)experience the truth of having more in common than not.

Dan has a led and been part of a number of groups over the years. As a guy feeling lonely and isolated in the world, he’s looked for places to be with other men and has had to co-create spaces these spaces several times in his life. Some of the memorable one’s include a dad’s of young children early morning taco & coffee (and sometimes around fires) group, a ‘we could use some guy friends, let’s get together and be real for an hour a week’ group, a therapist men, dad & husband group, a ‘book club’ for single people ‘to make it on these streets’, and most recently a men’s IFS trainers group.

Though we have been groomed toward isolating and doing things ourselves ‘to be men.’ We’re still people, and people are social animals. Dan’s excited to offer and be part of an offering where we can more fully be ourselves, (re)discover feeling nourished, and live and love more freely in our actual lives.

Dan has a number of significant influences that you will likely notice weaving into the background in our time together. He is a certified Relateful coach and facilitator, which is an relational meditation practice that’s interested in intimacy. Dan has been formally and informally exploring movement, spirituality, the ground of being, and energy in various forms for the last 25 years. Men’s group for IFS Therapists & Practitioners

This men’s group will serve a similar function to the more general men’s group offering, but specifically for IFS therapists and practitioners. It will be a process group, where we all get to be men who happen to be professionals using IFS in our practice. Our shared depth with IFS will offer us some (un)common language and perspective for being with ourselves and each other. And in the group, we will lean into the relational as much as the internal to experience the value and gift of intimacy with other men, while including ourselves.

Dan Reed, PhD two guys hugging

This group is a place for us men trained in IFS to:

  • Be less careful,

  • Ride the waves of connection/disconnection,

  • Step out of role,

  • Enjoy ourselves deeply,

  • Have company being the man we are,

  • Love and live more fully.

The men who choose to come will be those of us who long for a place where we can be less careful and to experience connection within a community that understands what it’s like to be a unicorn. Here we can step out of the feelings of isolation as men and share in ways that maybe you/we don’t yet have words for.

Dates, Location & Cost:

  • Every fourth Thursday from 10-11:30 PM CST.

  • April 2-November 12, 2026 (Except July 23)

    • 8 gatherings

    • Closed group of 6-10 men

      (including our 2 facilitators)

    • $125 per gathering,

with a financial commitment to all sessions.

Amidst feminism and gender fluidity what does it mean to ‘be a man’?

This in-depth conversation between Terry Real and Andrew Huberman cuts through layers revealing what being relational looks and sounds like, what’s being asked of us men now and how it lets us be more real, and what everyone, including us, gains when we share ourselves more generously.
